    another jab

I think it has to be in my zodiac , or I could almost hear Lillian Too saying.. "She will experience a strong affinity to needles in the year of Dog-2006".  I got another jab in my ass over the weekend. This time - high temperature with some severe food poisoning.

Had to go on mc today but am feeling much better after an entire weekend of recuperation with Mike hanging around. His presence is always so heart felt though most of the time, he's actually with the pc. hehe

What bugs me tremendously starting beginning of last week and even more so today is the stress level at work.  Where do you draw the line between what's a reasonable amount of load versus what's needed to be done? You don't.  That's what led me to the jab.

I used to know someone who was 101% dedicated to his career and I'd say the role model of what a parent should be. He collapsed in his office just a year ago - stroke. Age - 34. Company probably paid off a certain sum of disability insurance and today, nobody remembers him as the man who dedicated his life to his job, but simply as the man who had a stroke and was immediately replaced with another chap.

    Corporations have no emotions.

This does not mean that we should not devote the rightful amount of attention and commitment to our employers, afterall, that's how we pay our bills.  But this does mean that we stop at a certain point to reflect and re-evaluate our priorities once in a while.  Similarly to my earlier hospital saga, last weekend was again a reminder.  I'm only 32.

Where do I draw the line, and when do I cut it off?
